Removed broken JBox for sensing edge to coil cord. Replaced with 2x2x3" JBox. Replaced worn coil cord from control box to JBox. Removed worn section of sensing edge wire and improved with newer wire. Wire nut and taped two wires sealing with vinyl tape. Removed old wires from main TB inside of control box and introduced clean new wires. Cycled system. Timer to close now response to new coil cord and JBox.

Took over repairing a 14x16 Overhead Glass Anodized Aluminum sectional door. Right side clevis and cotter pin assembly deteriorate causing the cable to slip out. This caused the door lock up in the open position. Starting with my assessment of the situation, what I surmise, an attempt to add cable to the right drum and spin it tight was made. With the right side off the floor approximately 2" and the left side off the floor 4-5", spinning the drum would not allow the missing key to be inserted at the keyed shaft and keyed drum. Drum had been excessively tightened marring the shaft. First, I removed the BEA Falcon from its position on the track. Removal to prevent the possibility of the Falcon being destroyed from the cable dog or come along wire. Installed the cable dog near left drum lowering the door down so right side of the door was touching the floor. Added clamps at left lower of bottom panel to prevent left side panel rise. Moved extension ladder from left side the right side drum. Removed set screws moving the drum on the right side. Aligned keyed shaft and keyed drum. Replaced missing key for drum/shaft. Killed right spring. Inserted cable into right side drum. Moved extension ladder to center of door at coupler. Removed all nuts and bolts clamping the coupler halves. Once completely removed, spun the shaft of right side drum self-tightening the cable onto the drum. Clamping shaft to prevent roll back of drum and cable. Moved extension ladder to the left side to remove cable dog and come along from left side cable allowing the left side door position to rest on the ground. Repositioned ladder to center placing coupler nuts and bolts into the coupler halves. Placed vice grips to coupler halves. Repositioned ladder at right spring. Tightened spring and removed retaining bar making right side live. Moved ladder to coupler. Removed grips and checked side reveal of door. Twisted left shaft to improve reveal. Locked in by bolting coupler. Once door was set, straightened upper operator draw bar. Bolted lower and upper drawbar. Tested drawbar strength with small operator movements. Fully cycled door open and closed. Door repair complete.

Ensure ME eyes were cleaned. Checked alignment of Z flap eyes. Cycled with no issues for eyes 2/3's the way down. Curtain would drag due to shifted slats rubbing inside of guides. Opened door and aligned the slats one end lock at a time. Old LM operator without buttons in it. Would have to go up and down ladder per end lock. Cycled door afterwards, no issues with Z-flap eyes. Brian present when I shifted slats and he was grateful I went the extra pressing out slats that had been bumped into, instead of saying " you need a new door". He wants to visit new slats after New Year during 1st or 2nd qtr. Bonanza curved slat approx 12 4-3/8 standard cast end lock.
